Gwyneth Paltrow got injectables to look less 'pi**ed off'

Gwyneth Paltrow says women should be able to share what cosmetic procedures they have had with no shame attached.

The 48-year-old Goop co-founder – who is a spokeswoman for anti-wrinkle injection Xeomin – believes there is unnecessary ‘shame around surgery’ in Hollywood and women feel they have something to prove.

‘A lot of successful women in Hollywood are motivated early on by not being good enough, and so we’re trying to prove something to ourselves,’ she told .

‘By getting injectables, it’s like admitting a vulnerability. I think sometimes honesty is perceived to be a weakness …There does seem to be a lot of stigma around injections.’

Gwyneth has been open about her own experiences and 광주 성형외과 quipped that a ‘teeny drop’ of Xeomin makes her ‘look less p***ed off’.

While the Iron Man star wants the stigma surrounding cosmetic surgery and injectables to stop, she says it’s also perfectly fine for people to have a ‘beauty secret’, too.

She continued: ‘I think it’s nice when women share, because there’s a lot of shame around surgery or injectables or fillers, and it would be nice if people felt confident about the choices they were making.

‘But if they want to have a beauty secret, that’s okay, too. I’m an open book – I’ve shared what works for me, because that’s how I’ve always learned.’

This comes after Paltrow said she ‘didn’t feel the need to bring up’ her COVID-19 diagnosis.

The Goop founder was struck down with the virus back in February 2020 but she didn’t speak about it until much later because she felt there were ‘more important things going on’.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter magazine, she said: ‘I got it so early that there weren’t COVID tests available. 

‘We couldn’t even get tested for a long time, and by the time we were able to get antibody tests and all of that, there were much graver, more important things going on in the world. I didn’t really feel the need to bring it up, but it was interesting.’

Meanwhile, Gwyneth previously opened up on the lingering symptoms she’s still been experiencing after her battle with the coronavirus including ‘long-tail fatigue’ and ‘brain fog’.

She wrote: ‘I had COVID-19 early on, and it left me with some long-tail fatigue and brain fog … In January, I had some tests done that showed really high levels of inflammation in my body. 

‘So I turned to one of the smartest experts I know in this space, the functional medicine practitioner Dr. Will Cole.

So I’ve been cooking a lot, and some of it is really delicious: I made scallops with crispy capers and sage the other day, asparagus with bacon vinaigrette, and some little artichokes with stuffed herbs and garlic.’
